I've missed the changing of the seasons living in California the past six years.  It finally started feeling like fall a couple of days ago.  I love it!  It's been almost too cold to sleep with the window open, but I do it anyway.  I love the way the cold makes my room smell.  I love how everything seems crisp around the edges.  I love snuggling up under the blankets because it's cold.  The cold inspires me, I think.

On another note, I got an email from a publisher offering to send me an advanced copy of a book today!  I am SO excited.  It's really cool, especially because while I was hoping for it, I wasn't expecting it.  Especially not so soon after starting the blog.  Two months!  It had me squealing with joy.

Now if only I can get the job I'm going to interview for next week, I'll be quite content!

I only have 10 entries at my book review blog.  It's not a lot, but I'm just starting.  Of course, part of it is because I have to read new books in order to review them.  Right now, I've got plenty of time to read.  I have been visiting author websites today.  A couple of them have contests that you can enter, so I dropped them an email to join.  I mean, free books, yay!  I mentioned as well that I really enjoyed their books and that I'd blogged about a couple of them.  One of the authors dropped by and left a comment!  Awesome.  That's just so darn cool.  Especially because if I were to have dinner with anyone I could, my list would be comprised of authors/poets!
